U.S. Navy Cmdr. Rachael Gosnell provides briefings to the NATO School Oberammergau’s Orientation Course
On March 10th, U.S. Navy Cmdr. Rachael Gosnell, Ph.D., a recognized expert on Arctic security, provided briefings during the NATO School Oberammergau’s Orientation Course, sharing insights that support the development of allied and partner security professionals.
Gosnell, a Marshall Center military professor of Strategic Security Studies, provided foundational knowledge on the region, including the evolving security landscape, operational environment, warfighting in the High North, strategic burden-sharing, deterrence, and defense. She also briefed on maritime security, noting the importance of freedom of navigation to global economic prosperity and stability, and discussed the defense industrial base and collective approaches to strengthening NATO capabilities.
