MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, Calif. — The 452nd Force Support Squadron recognizes that mission success depends not only on the readiness of Airmen but also on the stability and well-being of their families. To support this objective, Military and Family Readiness Centers provide comprehensive resources designed to strengthen personal resilience, enhance family stability, and ensure Airmen remain mission-focused wherever they serve. The M&FR Program does this by connecting military members, spouses, and dependents with resources and education, the program helps them successfully navigate the challenges of military life, including deployments, relocations, financial pressures, and career transitions. March’s M&FR newest team member, Tech Sgt. Aracely Beadsley, has only been with the team for four months but already sees the difference the program provides for families across all branches. “The Airmen are not alone in their struggles or needs, we provide emotional, financial, and many other types of support” said Tech Sgt Beadsley. Through a combination of counseling services, educational programs, and financial assistance initiatives, the program strengthens the overall resilience of the Air Force community. Deployments can place significant stress on military families and with current world events ramping up deployment cycles, Colonel Bryan M. Bailey, Commander of the 452nd Air Mobility Wing, said “March Airmen are being rapidly deployed on a moment's notice, often within 72 hours.” With such short notice, having the support of M&FR can ease the burden or the stress of the deployer knowing that family is in good hands before, during, and after deployments. These services include deployment briefings, reintegration workshops, and materials that help families manage separation and reunification. Programs also offer events and support groups to help spouses and children remain connected to the military community while their service member is away. The support provided by the M&FR is so varied that there is almost no resource out of reach for military members. “We can help guide members and their families to the correct resource such as baby formula or diapers,” said TSgt. Beadsley, “helping the families is what I love most about this position.” The M&FR Program supports active duty, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, Department of Defense civilians, retirees, and their family members. Most services are free and accessible both on installations and through outreach efforts in surrounding communities. By offering counseling, financial education, employment support, deployment readiness resources, and community programs, the Air Force ensures its Airmen and their families are prepared to face the challenges of military life. When families are supported and resilient, Airmen can focus on the mission ensuring the Air Force remains lethal and ready to defend the nation anytime and anywhere.
