    515th Air Mobility Operations Wing

The 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing and 735th Air Mobility Squadron welcomed members of the U.S.-Republic of Korea Air Transportation Working Group (ATWG) to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawai‘i, Sept. 18, 2025, reaffirming a decades-long partnership and advancing future cooperation under the Mutual Airlift Support Agreement (MASA).

The ATWG, a vital component of the U.S.-ROK alliance, oversees the planning and coordination of air transportation operations that support combined readiness and contingency response on the Korean Peninsula. Renewed in 2024 for another decade, MASA enables the two nations to exchange airlift capacity during crises, enhancing their ability to rapidly move personnel, equipment, and supplies when and where they are needed.

During the visit, Col. Tyler Robertson, 515th AMOW deputy commander, provided an overview of the wing’s mission and its critical role in enabling global mobility operations throughout the Indo-Pacific.

“This partnership is built on trust, shared values, and a common mission,” said Robertson. “Through regular engagement like the ATWG, we continue to deepen our partnership and refine how we operate to ensure our combined capabilities remain ready to respond at a moment’s notice.”
The delegation also toured the 735th AMS freight warehouse, where they observed demonstrations of aerial port operations, including cargo handling processes, the Mechanized Material Handling System, and special handling capabilities.

The engagement underscored how continued collaboration, shared planning, and bilateral coordination multiply capabilities and ensure both nations remain postured to respond rapidly across the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
