Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Adrienne Warren accepted responsibility as the new senior enlisted advisor (SEA) of Eastern Sector, USMEPCOM, succeeding Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Daniel Kenemore during a change of responsibility and retirement ceremony July 31 at USMEPCOM headquarters in North Chicago, Ill.
The unique position of the SEA is USMEPCOM’s Eastern Sector provides input and advice on matters affecting mission and operations for more than 1,300 employees across the sector’s 34 MEPS locations.
“The SEA is the heart of the organization, charged with embodying presence, driving excellence, enforcing standards and taking care of people,” said Army Col. Nicole Jepsen, USMEPCOM Eastern Sector commander. “Above all, the SEA is exceptionally important in this unit, where we are charged with helping to build the next generation of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen.”
Kenemore took on the role of Eastern Sector SEA in August 2023. During his esteemed 27-year long career, he noted that there was no place he would rather close this chapter.
“I honestly can't think of a better way to end my career,” said retired Chief Master Sgt. Daniel Kenemore. “Nearly every enlisted member begins their journey at USMEPCOM, but very few have the chance to finish it here. Thank you for giving me the privilege to serve. Thank you for letting me wear this uniform, for letting me lead, for letting me grow and for letting me belong.”
Jepsen shared her thanks as well as her excitement for the future of Eastern Sector’s leadership.
“Chief Kenemore's presence and leadership have consistently proven essential to ensuring continuity and mission success of Eastern Sector and more broadly USMEPCOM,” said Jepsen. “As we bid farewell to Chief Kenemore, we also look ahead with excitement and confidence as we welcome Chief Master Sgt. Adrienne Warren, our new senior enlisted advisor. Her prior experiences have shaped a career defined by merit, culminating in a perspective that will undoubtedly guide Eastern sector forward.”
Warren enlisted at the Shreveport MEPS in 1997 and is excited to bring a fresh perspective while serving in the SEA role and helping serve the USMEPCOM mission.
“Thank you for welcoming me to the USMEPCOM Eastern Sector family,” said Warren. “Thank you for the standards that you set, the values you live by, and the pride you bring to this mission every single day. I'm truly humbled to serve alongside you, and I look forward to all that we will continue to accomplish together.”
