WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – At the end of May, Col. Chadwick Steipp joined the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) as Deputy Commander. Steipp is very familiar with the Center, having previously served as Deputy Program Executive Officer for the Mobility Directorate.
Steipp introduced himself as a member of the Center's leadership team during a conversation with 1st Lt. Abbey Duncan, AFLCMC public affairs director of operations.
During a time of change and some uncertainty, Col. Steipp explained his priorities for the next few months as he settles into his new role. First, he wants to make sure the AFLCMC team understands the strategic vision of what is important to operational warfighters. Additionally, he wants to help maximize personal and professional readiness of all airmen, both uniformed and civilian.
Speaking of readiness on a broad scale, Steipp encouraged Airmen to pursue training opportunities and to prioritize physical fitness. To the young officers listening, Steipp reminded the individuals of the importance of persistence when chasing after goals, relating his own experiences - some successful and some not - when applying for career broadening experiences like competitive programs and voluntary deployments.
For everyone, regardless of job status, he stressed the importance of a positive attitude in the workplace, noting its ability to overcome challenges and foster teamwork.
