The 2025 Defense Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) Clearing House on Defence Education, a weeklong course held at the Marshall Center, concluded the week of June 27, 2025.
The event brought together NATO representatives, Partnership for Peace Consortium (PfPC) experts, and defense educators from across the globe to coordinate support for professional military education across 15 partner nations.
Over three days, participants exchanged insights on national defense programs in countries such as Georgia, Iraq, and Colombia.
“I was very impressed with the dialogue,” said Timothy Dreifke, Ed.D., PfPC DEEP coordinator. “One of the largest themes of this 14th iteration of the DEEP Clearing House was the military decision-making process and the operational planning process. The Warrior Ethos has permeated the network and sparked an interest throughout the multinational education enterprise,”
From cybersecurity to leadership ethics to operational planning process, the Clearing House highlighted the importance of shared standards and trusted networks in building long-term security cooperation.
“Money and equipment do not help us if we do not have the right educated and trained Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, and Marines,” said Rolf Wagner, Marshall Center German deputy director.
