U.S. Air Force Col. Cataleya Carlson assumed command of the 515th Air Mobility Operations Group from Col. Trigg Randall, 515 AMOG outgoing commander, during a change of command ceremony at Yokota Air Base, Japan, June 24.

The 515 AMOG controls, loads, unloads, and repairs Western Pacific en route mobility aircraft, whether military, commercial, or foreign to keep the mission moving with precise, reliable velocity. There are three Air Mobility Squadrons that fall under the 515 AMOG; 730 AMS, Yokota AB, Japan, 733 AMS, Kadena AB, Japan and 731 AMS Osan, South Korea. In addition to these units, the group is also responsible for air mobility operations throughout the western pacific, encompassing over 890 military, US and host nation civilians.

Col. Jens Lyndrup, 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing commander, presided over the ceremony and the event was attended by family members of the incoming and outgoing commanders, members of the 515 AMOG, and representatives from across the base.
