NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy (Sept. 22, 2023) – With just over a year on board Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella, Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Dominick Carnevale, 25, from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, consistently exceeds expectations and can always be relied upon the get a job done with the best possible outcome.
“IT2 Dominick Carnevale is an exceptional Petty Officer who consistently goes above and beyond the scope of his regular work. His strong work ethic and dedication are truly admirable,” said Keegan Biasi, Carnevale’s supervisor.
Carnevale provides information technology support to seven geographical locations, 1,050 personnel and 544 workstations, to ensure user experience, with no downtime or loss of data. His collateral duties include Region Telecommunications Officer (TCO) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Trusted Agent.
“My favorite part of my job is working with my colleagues to solve daily problems throughout our seven geographical locations,” said Carnevale. “My collateral duties gives me the opportunity to help and assist users with their technical needs.”
Carnevale has been an active duty Sailor since Jan. 28, 2018. He previously served with Naval Beach Unit 7 in Sasebo, Japan.
Carnevale recalls his proudest Navy accomplishment is the time he deployed to Thailand and conducted bilateral exercises with Thai Marines during Cobra Gold 2020. He said serving in the military is his opportunity to give back and defend our nation’s freedom, daily.
“His colleagues greatly appreciate his relentless work ethic and often seek his guidance and support, knowing he will go the extra mile to ensure the collective success,” said Biasi. “IT2 Carnevale’s unwavering commitment and exceptional work ethic makes him a true asset to any team or organization.”
Carnevale recently completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity. In his spare time, he enjoys working out and traveling Europe. “My favorite thing about Europe is getting the opportunity to experience different cultures,” said Carnevale. His favorite quote is from Wayne Gretzkey – ‘You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.’
