    139th Airlift Wing

    Trinity Brown, daughter of Tech. Sgts. Ashley and Bruce Jenkins, was presented the 2021 National Guard Volunteer Award during a ceremony at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base on Sept. 11, 2022.

    This award is presented to a National Guard youth (15-17 years old) who exhibits commitment to and supports the National Guard Family Program and/or youth program, their school and community.

    Brown was nominated for her involvement and contributions to the Missouri National Guard State Teen Panel where she has accumulated 14 hours of service. Additionally, she has accumulated 119 hours of volunteer service in her school, local community, and with the 139th Airlift Wing. In the midst of COVID- 19, she ensured Month of the Military Child (MOMC) representation was conveyed through the assembly of a MOMC display at Joint Force Headquarters. She also educated over 20 families on deployment and Department of Defense resources such as the Our Military Kids Grant.

    The Missouri National Guard State Family Program Director, Kay Calton, and the Lead Child & Youth Program Coordinator, Shavon Parker, presented the award to Brown during September drill at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base.
