On August 16, 2022 Soldiers from the 65th Medical Brigade, led by the 65th Medical Brigade Unit Ministry Team (UMT) Chaplain (Maj. James Choi and Staff Sgt. Pedro Benavides) conducted Armistice Awareness Training at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). The DMZ is a border barrier that divides the North and South Korean border near the 38th parallel. The training included a visit to the Joint Security Area (JSA) which is the only portion of the DMZ where South and North Koreans stand face to face.
This trip reinforced the importance of our Soldiers' mission in Korea and the imperative to be ready to "Fight Tonight!"
