    432nd Wing

U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael G. Koscheski, Fifteenth Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Sonia Lee, 15th AF command chief, visited with Team 432 personnel at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, Dec 7.

During Koscheski’s and Lee’s first visit to the 432nd Wing since beginning their tour at 15th AF, they were briefed by subject matter experts across the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Enterprise about ongoing operations, mission readiness, and community resources.

“The 432d Wing’s mission hasn’t slowed down at all,” said Koscheski. “The Airmen here are still flying combat and competition missions worldwide and training the next generation of leaders for the RPA enterprise.”

Koscheski delved deeper into operations and readiness, hearing from Hunters about their current operations worldwide. He also heard from wing leaders about the ways the wing is developing the next generation of exceptional leaders for the future.

“This wing has done a great job of empowering young leaders to be resourceful.” Koscheski said. “Airmen here are leading and making decisions much earlier in their careers than they might elsewhere and they are developing into exceptional leaders.”

Lee’s visit focused on critical infrastructure and available support for Airmen stationed at Creech AFB. Hunter Airmen face challenges unique to the RPA enterprise, as such the wing has developed innovative programs to care for Airmen and their families.

One such innovation is the Human Performance Team, an integrated team of operational psychology, physical therapy, and religious support personnel. The HPT is a one stop shop for physical, mental, and spiritual health resources.

“The human weapons system is the most important weapon system we have,” Lee said. “The innovative ways you have found to tackle these challenges, like the HPT, is a testament to the ingenuity of our Airmen.”

The 15th AF guides its wings to deliver ready forces for combat operations, develop resilient Airmen and families, and empower Airmen to be resourceful to deliver combat airpower anytime, anywhere.

“It was an honor to show General Koscheski and Chief Lee the Hunter’s efforts to align combat readiness with 15 Air Force’s strategic direction while providing reliable host-wing support,” said Col. Eric Schmidt, 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing commander. “Our community leaders and support services play an integral role in ensuring that all of Team 432 remains ready.”
