James and Kathy Suhr presented invaluable information regarding their cousin, Private First Class James H. Monroe, who received the Medal of Honor for his actions in Vietnam. James H. Monroe saved the lives of his fellow Army soldiers by falling on a grenade. He was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor and has a local middle school named in his honor, James Howard Monroe Middle School in Wheaton, Illinois.
