    126th Theater Public Affairs Support Element

    DETROIT - Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1225th Support Battalion changed command during a ceremony, Feb 9th, at the Detroit Lightguard Armory.

    Capt. Megan McBride-Davis, outgoing commander changed command with Capt. Robert McNamara, incoming commander.

    Soldiers from the 1225th SB, family members and friends attended the event including Col. Scott Meyers, 272d Regional Support Group Commander, Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph Gregory, 272d RSG, Lt. Col. Tiffianey Laurin, 1225th SB Commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. Johnathan Minix, 1225th SB.

    McBride-Davis served as HHC, 1225th SB Commander from December 2017 to February 2020. During her time in command she initiated cultural change within the command and placed emphasis on tactical operations.

    During McBride-Davis's final words as company commander, she stated "the growth I've seen in this company has been absolutely amazing to watch and be a part of."

    McBride-Davis will be moving on to the United States Property and Fiscal Office as Supply and Distribution OIC at Joint Force Headquarters in Lansing.

    Meyers stated to the outgoing commander (McBride), "I want to thank you for your service and dedication. You are a very intelligent, articulate officer and I'm looking forward to your future and assignments down the road; I appreciate your service."

    He stated to the incoming commander (McNamara), "HHC is different. I think you're perfect for this. Congratulations to you! I think you will be a great fit for this organization."

    McNamara in his first speech as HHC, 1225th SB Commander, stated, "I've heard great things about Capt. McBride-Davis and the unit an hope to continue on the legacy."
