The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support celebrated the holiday season with local elementary school students during the annual Children’s Holiday Party Dec. 12.
Approximately 25 employee volunteers spent a few hours delivering presents donated by the DLA Troop Support workforce, making ornaments and playing holiday-themed games with 161 Benjamin Franklin Elementary School kindergarten and first-grade students to spread the holiday spirit. The volunteers also provided six classrooms with a container filled with classroom supplies.
To make the Children’s Holiday Party a success, about 75 volunteers from around the workforce collected toys, wrapped presents and prepared activities throughout a two-month planning process.
