Brothers will address service members, families at event, which is open to the military community
RAMSTEIN AIR BASE – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service will soon welcome Wahlburgers to the family—and superstar brothers Mark and Paul Wahlberg will preview the restaurant and celebrate with the Kaiserslautern Military Community during a preview party at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 15.
The Wahlburgers at Kaiserslautern Military Community’s Exchange shopping center will be the popular gourmet burger restaurant’s first location on a military installation. The brothers will speak to service members and families gathered for the preview party, which will be open to the military community.
“Wahlburgers is looking forward to serving the heroes at Ramstein,” Mark Wahlberg said. “We love our troops, and we’re grateful for this chance to partner with the Exchange and bring a little taste of home to those serving overseas.”
Chef Paul Wahlberg and actor brothers Mark and Donnie have opened more than 30 Wahlburgers restaurants, which focus on quality ingredients and housemade recipes. The business was highlighted on A&E’s reality TV show “Wahlburgers,” which followed the brothers through expanding the franchise, including their work with the Exchange to bring the restaurant to military communities.
“The Exchange is dedicated to providing the Ramstein community with name-brand dining options and a taste of home,” said Col. Scott McFarland, Army & Air Force Exchange Service Europe/Southwest Asia commander. “We’re excited to welcome Wahlburgers to the Exchange family.”
The KMC Wahlburgers, the chain’s first fast-casual location, will offer favorites including signature burgers made from Chef Paul’s proprietary blend of brisket, short rib and chuck; Wahlbowl salads, fries, tots and shakes.
Wahlburgers will officially open to the public in early January. A second Exchange Wahlburgers location will open at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in early 2020, with additional locations in the works.
