The New Bern Chamber of Commerce honored U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman Britney Tardugno, assigned to Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point (NHCCP), as the Service Person of the Quarter during a luncheon at the New Bern Golf and Country Club, North Carolina, Sept. 12, 2019. Tardugno was nominated for the award because of her unwavering dedication to the local community. She has dedicated more than 100 hours of her personal time volunteering for local and non-local organizations. Tardugno is also a vital member of the NHCCP honor guard team and has rendered honors at 17 funerals for prior service members. NHCCP is a tenant command at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point.
