The 93rd Signal Brigade partnered with National Conference Services Inc. to host the Tactical and Tech Day Expo at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, June 12, 2019.
The expo allowed companies to showcase their products by providing demonstrations using the latest technological options and services that can fulfill mission requirements through collaborative efforts with JBLE members who may utilize their services.
“I think aside from the networking aspect, this was also an educational event,” said Katie Williams, NCSI events logistics manager. “You may not think you need something right now, but down the road you may remember a company from this event and you will already have the contacts to get the products or services you need for your unit.”
Various companies highlighted devices that could aid units with communications, electronic warfare, radar, signal monitoring and advanced structures in the field.
While the event aimed to cultivate a network of mission-oriented partnerships, it also provided opportunities for individual members to develop professional relationships with potential future employers and discover future career options.
“I think these events can have many networking aspects,” said U.S. Army Capt. Rodney Bolden, Army Futures Command, Futures and Concept Center operations officer. “Not only can we come out here and have face-to-face interactions with these companies, but these events could potentially help our Soldiers or Airmen if they decide to get out. They will already have those contacts to help network into their next career.”
The Tactical and Tech Day Expo is a bi-annual event that is held every summer and winter. The next expo is scheduled for December of this year. For more information, visit www.federalevents.com/forteustis.
