Bulgarian dignitaries visit Strike Back 19

126th Theater Public Affairs Support Element

NOVO SELO TRAINING AREA—Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Defense Minister Krasimir Karakachanov and Chief of Defense General Andrey Botsev visit Strike Back 19 to observe the capabilities of the Multinational Battalion comprised of Bulgarian, Albanian, Greek, North Macedonian and U.S. troops.

Dignitaries watched as the Multinational Battalion demonstrated mechanized maneuvers, building clearing in an urban environment and a joint firing exercise.

“Partners and the United States we train together, so we will always be ready to strike back,” said Borissov.

Strike Back 19 is a multinational exercise hosted by the Bulgarian Land Forces at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria, from June 6-20, 2019. Strike Back 19 is designed to increase capabilities and interoperability with Bulgarian, Albanian, Greek, North Macedonian and U.S. Troops.
