DALLAS – Android users can now get in on the convenience of the MILITARY STAR® card’s mobile app.
Military shoppers can now make payments, sign up for notifications, review transactions and more on their Android devices, while biometric security features protect all their information.
Since the iPhone version of the MILITARY STAR Mobile App debuted Oct. 26 and the Android version began testing February, the app has been downloaded 114,000 times and in more than 50 countries.
App users can track rewards points and see how close they are to their next $20 rewards card, which cardholders automatically earn every 2,000 points (shoppers earn two points for every dollar spent). Shoppers can check out ongoing MILITARY STAR savings and discounts on the app, as well.
“We’ve received really positive feedback on the iPhone app, so we’re happy to be able to extend the streamlined mobile experience to Android users,” said Tommy Ward, Exchange Vice President of Credit Operations. “We’re focused on making MILITARY STAR simple, easy and convenient for our service members and their families.”
The MILITARY STAR card is accepted at all Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard exchanges in stores and online, as well as commissaries and Armed Forces Recreation Centers.
MILITARY STAR is administered by the Army & Air Force Exchange Service. Other benefits of the card include:
• The lowest flat-rate APR (12.49 percent) among store cards—rate is offered to all cardholders upon approval.
• No annual, late or over-limit fees.
• 10 percent discount on first day of use.
• Reduced-interest deployment plan with no payments required for eligible customers.
