Vicenza, ITALY (Jan. 18, 2019) - U.S. Army Garrison Italy and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is requesting proposals to build and lease 127 housing units for Army families in the Vicenza area.

The deadline for submitting proposals is May 15, 2019.
"This build to lease initiative will provide 127 secure, comfortable, and
energy efficient housing units within easy commute of Caserma Ederle and Del Din for our Soldiers and their families. This project, in addition to our Villaggio housing project will enable us to meet our family housing needs in the future, in most time and cost efficient manner. The importance of this project, as well as that of the Villaggio housing project, reflect the strong bond and collaboration between the US military and the local community of Vicenza and Veneto," said U.S. Army Garrison Italy Commander Col. Erik M. Berdy.
USAG Italy and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are planning an "Industry Day" meeting in the near future for local officials, builders, and interested parties to provide more details in the proposal and guidance for submitting a proposal. More details on Industry Day will be provided when they are finalized.
