U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Jose Agosto-Gonzalez was among more than a dozen other scheduled instructors and high-ranking speakers who educated National Guard Airmen during the TIME Workshop, Dec. 10, 2018, in Southbridge, Massachusetts.

“I taught the Bullet Writing class for about 200 Guardsmen from the east coast,” Sergeant Agosto-Gonzalez said.

Sergeant Agosto-Gonzalez is a professional development instructor and curriculum developer assigned to the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center in East Tennessee. The bullet writing lessons are a segment of TEC’s professional development courses and on-demand learning videos. Bullet-writing instruction provides necessary information essential to writing enlisted performance reports.

Defined as Technical Sergeants Involved and Mentoring Enlisted Airmen, the five-day TIME workshop ran from Dec. 9 to Dec. 14 and included Airmen from seven states, said officials. Speakers included general officers, state and Air National Guard enlisted leaders, and other experts on force development, leadership, resiliency, mentorship, and diversity.

TEC faculty teach to National Guard bases across the nation, often bringing its expertise and lessons to other units. Its Professional Continuing Education Division assesses organizations’ training needs, and it can also train personnel through online and broadcast courses as well as through distributive learning or in TEC’s classrooms. Nearly 30,000 service members completed a TEC-developed, -maintained, or -instructed continuing education curriculum in 2018.
