BAGHDAD -- Task Force Baghdad Soldiers teamed up with local leaders from the Karradah district to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new generator Sept. 10.
Soldiers from 4th Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division donated the new 100-kilo volt amp generator for the Babil clinic as part of a $61,000 project designed by the clinic director. The project was approved by the district council and the generator was installed by an Iraqi engineer.
The project replaced an old four-KVA generator and will provide 24-hour power for the clinic, which houses more than 100 patients and focuses on general medicine.
The Soldiers from 4th Bn., 64th Armor continue to assist in the development of the local government and economy in the Karradah district.
