    20th Fighter Wing

Team Shaw members gathered for a memorial in remembrance of Senior Airman Trevor Moheit who was assigned to the 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance, to celebrate his life and the people he impacted on June 20.

    T. Moheit’s sudden death was caused by a car accident while he was driving on Sunday morning, June 3, near Sumter.

Although his passing was tragic, everyone came together to talk about T. Moheit and his life and to give his family condolences.

His older brother Cory Moheit, 20th Component Maintenance Squadron electronic warfare systems team member, was stationed with him and thanked everyone for supporting him through hard times and letting him have the time off needed to be with his family.

Family, friends and coworkers shared some of their stories about T. Moheit and the great person he was.

“He had such a huge impact on anyone fortunate enough to meet him,” said Senior Airman Skylar Braden, 20 EMS aircraft structural maintenance Journeyman. “His personality and character really showed what a great person he was.”

    T. Moheit’s family was also recognized by his friends and coworkers to show how appreciative they were of Trevor.

“To his family, I want to thank you so much for bringing him into my life,” said Airman 1st Class Heanna Flynn, 20 EMS aircraft structural maintenance apprentice. “He was an amazing person and I know I don’t have to say it, but you should be so proud of the man that you raised.”

    T. Moheit’s life will continue to live on through his family and friends, who continue to share stories and memories of not only the type of Airman he was, but also who he was as an individual.
