Marine Corps Base Quantico

Children in fifth grade and under grooved to the beat of music as Hailey Zoccoli (Jill) and Mark Jayne (DJ Markie Mark) taught children how to live healthy.
Jill and DJ Markie Mark performed their hit songs:
• “Healthy is Good For Me”
• “Energy”
• “Nature’s Candy”
• “Superpower Vegetables”
• “Beats of the Body”
• “The Bone Rap”
Even MCM’s Miles the bulldog joined in the festivities to dance with the children.
Upon conclusion of the event every kid walked away with an autographed photo of Jill and DJ Markie Mark, as well as information about the marathon’s new initiative.
As MCM attempts to cultivate the next generation of long distance runners, the event introduced children and educators to the program in which children 17 years old and younger will receive a 40 percent discount off MCM registration.
