The warrior day tested Airmen’s physical and mental resiliency following operational readiness exercise Weasel Victory 17-07, which occurred May 15 to 17.

The events consisted of a dodgeball tournament, obstacle course and relay race simulating a suppression of enemy air defense mission. Throughout each event, the six player teams went head-to-head to gain the most points and earn victory.

“The event is intended to test the Airman’s physical strength, as well as their strategic skills,” said Chief Master Sgt. Tom Boslet, 20th OG superintendent. “We wanted the Airmen to experience what the OG does on a daily basis…working hard with a lot of thought and planning going into everything we do.”

The dodgeball tournament pitted Airmen from around base against each other for friendly competition. Players eliminated during the dodgeball tournament performed various exercises before being allowed to re-enter the game.

After the dodgeball tournament, participants proceeded to the obstacle course which consisted of litter carries, tire flips and Air Force trivia quizzes – all while wearing a rucksack.

During the final event, the 1.5-mile SEAD relay race, Airmen competed for the fastest times while participating in a mission where they used water balloons to simulate missiles, eliminating “enemy threats” in the form of colored barrels.

“It was a lot of fun,” said Airman 1st Class Jeannie Toro, 20th Medical Operations Support Squadron pharmacy technician. “It helped give us a break from our everyday tasks especially after the exercise.”

“These events helped show us players what it means to be (an Airman) in the 20th Fighter Wing,” said Toro.
