    Colo. National Guard assists Pueblo County Sheriff during Beulah Flood evacuations

    CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Per a verbal executive order from Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Colorado National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crew evacuated people during the Buelah Flood in support of the Pueblo County Sheriff’s department.

    Four Colorado Army National Guard Soldiers from Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, evacuated trapped people.

    “The Colorado National Guard stands ready to provide additional support to help the people of Buelah,” The Adjutant General of Colorado Maj. Gen. Michael A. Loh said. “We’re your neighbors, and we’re here to help.”
