FORT CUSTER TRAINING CENTER, Mich. (March 25, 2017) – Soldiers assigned to the U.S Army Great Lakes Recruiting Battalion in Lansing, Michigan participated in the Army Reserve Recruiting Partnership Council meeting March 25, in the George B. Dolliver U.S. Army Reserve Center on post.
This R2PC meeting is the recruiting battalion’s first of two annual meetings scheduled to run this fiscal year, which focus on recruiting individuals to serve in the Army Reserve.
Providing strength for the reserve units, which in turn helps the community and gives everyone a better perception of the Army is our goal, said Master Sgt. Jeffrey W. Cole, the noncommissioned officer in charge of operations for the Great Lakes Recruiting Battalion.
The GLRB invites every command team or representatives from every Army Reserve unit, Army Reserve Career Division, Army Medical Department, Reserve Officer Training Corps and Regional Recruiting Commands located in the state of Michigan.
The GLRB R2PC meetings focus on financial and geographical limitations of recruiting events, operational needs of individual units and achieving the recruiting goal of the highest quality individual to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve for fiscal year 2017.
“I think this is a great event,” said Brig. Gen. Jose R. Burgos, the distinguished guest for the R2PC meeting and deputy commanding general of the 99th Regional Support Command. “It was very well represented by the recruiting command.”
The next R2PC meeting hosted by the GLRB is tentatively scheduled at the George B. Dolliver U.S. Army Reserve Center in Fort Custer Training Center, Michigan, Aug. 26.
