NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 9, 2017) – Small business leaders are invited to attend the 6th Annual 2017 Small Business Industry Day 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 15, 2017 at the Tennessee Small Business Development Center located at Tennessee State University’s Avon Williams Campus at 330 10th Avenue North in Nashville, Tenn.
The theme for the Industry Day March 15, a free event, is “Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.” Conference registration is available at http://www.tsbdc.org. The deadline to register is Friday, March 10, 2017.
According to Roy Rossignol, Nashville District Small Business Office chief, the purpose of the outreach is to offer small businesses the opportunity to learn about the Corps of Engineers and the federal procurement process. He said the Corps will also be offering matchmaking for service disabled veteran owned and veteran owned small businesses (SDVOSB/BOSB) from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
“We have many great federal agencies and large and small primes that will be exhibiting and participating,” Rossignol said.
Organizations represented at this year’s event include U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, America’s SBDC Tennessee, University of Tennessee PTAC Center for Industrial Services, and National Aerospace Solutions.
