WIESBADEN, Germany -- The 52nd Signal Battalion, 2nd Signal Brigade hosted a change of responsibility ceremony April 7, 2016 at Patch Barracks in Stuttgart.

Command Sgt. Maj. Woody Carter passed responsibility of the battalion to the incoming senior enlisted advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. Danny Rebolledo.

Col. Ed Buck Jr., commander of 2nd Signal Brigade, recounted a story at the ceremony that spoke to Carter's leadership style.

"Command Sgt. Maj. Carter leads from the front, shows us how it's done, and gets over obstacles," Buck said.

Lt. Col. Delton Nix, commander of the 52nd Signal Battalion, called Carter a natural leader and said his leadership experience at various levels motivated and inspired all those under his charge.

"His ability to take experienced utilitarian leadership skills to improve the productivity of this workforce and care for them was invaluable to setting an optimized climate," Nix said. "His character, presence and intellect, coupled with his ability to lead, develop and achieve, was a great source of motivation for the Soldiers and Civilians."

Carter thanked a number of leaders, peers, friends and family for their help and support during his tenure.

"All my success, in this unit and my past success, has come from the outstanding Soldiers that I have served with," Carter said.

Carter's next assignment will be as the senior enlisted advisor for the 93rd Signal Brigade at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

Robolledo comes to the 52nd Signal Battalion from the Defense Information Systems Agency Europe in Stuttgart. He thanked the hundreds of Soldiers that he has worked with previously for allowing him to be where he is today.

"I assume this great responsibility knowing that this is only possible because of their hard work, accomplishments and mentorship," Robolledo said. "I look forward to serving the Soldiers, Civilians and Family members of the 52nd Signal Battalion."
