    General Greets New Mexico Air Guard Unit

    LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq -- Members of the New Mexico Air National Guard's 150th Fighter Wing visited with the 13th COSCOM and LSA commanding general, Aug. 8.

    Brig. Gen. James E. Chambers, who has family in Rio Rancho, N.M., took the opportunity to talk with many of the airmen and thank them for their work in support of the mission.

    The 150th's home station is Kirtland Air Force Base; it has approximately 250 wing members currently deployed here supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

    The 150th team along with members of the 140th Fighter Wing from Colorado and the 120th Fighter Wing from Montana provide close air support for multi-national force ground troops.

    The 13th Corps Support Command, from Fort Hood, Texas, manages multi-national force logistics and controls military road movements within Iraq.
