SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. --

The Schriever School Age Care program invited Irene Okuyama Andreassen, United State Karate Academy, to the program Friday to lead a karate lesson. Andreassen took the youth through a routine that included various self-defense techniques, interspersed with speaking about the importance of focus and posture, as well as defending against bullies. In all, the period provided youth with physical and cognitive development.
