US Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District updates Old Hickory Lake Master Plan

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has updated the Old Hickory Lake Master Plan. The 2016 Master Plan, associated environmental assessment and signed finding of no significant impact are posted on the Old Hickory Lake website at http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/Locations/Lakes/OldHickoryLake.aspx.

Old Hickory Lake’s biologist, Thomas Mason, said, “The Master Plan does not focus on boat dock and land use permits like the Shoreline Management Plan. The Master Plan focuses on comprehensive management and development of all project recreational, natural and cultural resources. If you are interested in private activities like boat docks and vegetation modifications, those activities will be addressed in the Shoreline Management Plan to be updated in 2019."
