TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. - In 1776, America's forefathers brought to life a vision of an independent nation in which life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness became the right of all people. Two hundred and thirty nine years later, our nation still stands on the ideas and values set by men like Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.
On Independence Day, Americans reflect upon the significance of an agreement that was signed in order to declare independence and forge a new path as one nation united. Combat Center patrons reflect on the meaning of Independence Day and its significance in their lives.
