PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. - Recruits of November Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, trudged through the Crucible, the 54-hour culminating event of recruit training, June 27-29, 2013, on Parris Island, S.C.
The Crucible tested recruits’ confidence, endurance and commitment to earning the title of United States Marine. At the end of the long, grueling event, a drill instructor presents each recruit with an Eagle, Globe and Anchor and calls him or her Marine for the first time. November Company is scheduled to graduate July 3, 2013.
