VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Buxton, Maine, native and Bonny Eagle High School class of 2010 graduate, Lance Cpl. Mark A. Aceto was promoted to his present rank during a formation at Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group (MCSCG) aboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story, Va., May 1.
Lance Corporal Aceto joined the Marine Corps in 2012 shortly after graduating high school. Aceto is currently serving as a financial management resource analyst at MCSCG. He provides financial management and support to the unit in terms of all contractual interactions relating to the functionality of the command. Prior to checking into MCSCG in 2012, Aceto attended the Financial Management School at Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools aboard Camp Johnson, N.C. His father Michael Aceto resides in Gorham, Maine and his mother Maria Nordfors still resides in Buxton, Maine. Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group is a unit that executes and enables Security Cooperation (SC) Programs, training, planning, and activities in order to ensure unity of effort in support of U.S. Marine Corps and regional Marine Forces Component Command (MARFOR) objectives.
