What a great day to tell the Corps story. Southwestern Division Commander Brig. Gen. Tom Kula hosted a media day for media within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to discuss the Corps' role in many of the infrastructure, recreation and dam and levee safety projects around the region. Media were given an overview of the SWD mission and were then given the opportunity to ask the general and SWD subject matter experts questions about SWD projects. The media day briefing is designed to keep an open and transparent relationship with the press by giving them opportunities to stay abreast on Corps missions.
