Spc. Mark Thompson (left) and Pfc. Dean Frey cut a log with a two-man saw as their team leader, 1st Lt. Billi Jo Bierle straddles the log to stabilize it during an event of the first annual Coyote Cup held in conjunction with the 2013 Golden Coyote Exercise. The team, of South Dakota National Guard's 109th Regional Support Group were competing in the log-saw event, brought to the competition by the Canadian Engineers. Service members from many branches and countries participated in the friendly competition, which featured events that highlighted talents from each of the countries that participated.
