COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The route for the transmission lines was carefully selected to minimize impacts on neighborhoods and environmentally sensitive areas while prioritizing undeveloped, industrial, commercial and city-owned properties. Existing transmission corridors were used whenever practical.
