Yokosuka, Atsugi, Japan (Sept. 16, 2026) — NAVSUP FLC Yokosuka (FLCY) welcomed five newly pinned Chief Petty Officers (CPOs) into the Navy’s prestigious Chief Petty Officer Mess during pinning ceremonies held onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, and Site Singapore today. In Yokosuka, three NAVSUP FLCY Sailors joined 11 peers from various other commands at the Fleet Theater. The ceremony commenced with the prospective Chiefs marching into the theater in precise step, their voices roaring with the traditional Navy anthem, "Anchors Aweigh." The emotional pinnacle of the event saw family members, friends, sponsors, and mentors pin the gold fouled anchors onto the collars of the new Chiefs. After receiving their combination covers, each Chief walked through the sideboys, officially crossing the threshold into the Chief Petty Officer Mess.
