A large herd of goats is grazing across a dry, scrubby hillside in what appears to be a semi-arid Mediterranean or Southern California landscape. The goats span multiple elevations, from the foreground at the base of the hill to the ridgeline at the top. The vegetation is sparse and dry, suggesting late summer or drought conditions.

MCAS Miramar partnered with Shepherdess Land and Livestock to bring over 400 goats to East Miramar to graze on vegetation and help reduce wildfire risk.
