U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jennie Castillo assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 26, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), turns in her rifle to a armory in the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) after a sustainment training exercise, while off the coast of Djibouti, Africa, Aug. 11, 2013. Currently assigned to the 5th Fleet Area of Responsibility, the 26th MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force.
