    CAMP HIGASHI-CHITOSE, JAPAN- U.S. Army Soldiers with the 11th Airborne Division participated with members assigned to the 1st Airborne Brigade, Japan Ground Self Defense Force in a joint airborne operation at Kikyougahara DZ, during Exercise Orient Shield '26, September 15, 2026. With over 250 Soldiers and members participating in this airborne operation, the exercise combines dynamic field training exercises, multinational maneuver operations, and live-fire events to develop combat-ready formations capable of integrating refined and effective fires, movement, sustainment, interoperability, and command and control across a complex and contested operational environment.
