MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE BARSTOW, Calif. -Senior leaders and installation commanders from across the region gather during the Marine Corps Installations West Commanders Conference hosted by Colonel Russell W. Savatt IV, commanding officer, Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, California, Sept. 10-11, 2026. The two-day regional conference welcomed Brig. Gen. Nick I. Brown, commanding general, MCIWEST, and Sgt. Maj. Sherri N. Cook, command senior enlisted leader, MCIWEST, along with commanders and representatives from throughout the enterprise. During the visit, Col. Savatt and base staff led the regional leadership on targeted tours of the Yermo Annex Railhead Operations and the Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard stables to showcase MCLB Barstow's specialized logistics and ceremonial capabilities.
