    GREAT LAKES, Illinois (September 11, 2026) Sailors from Naval Station Great Lakes (NSGL) tenant commands participate in a oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray training course for Auxiliary Security Forces (ASF) Academy held aboard NSGL, September 11. The ASF academy is a three week course that trains active duty service members to augment base security personnel during various contingencies, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, civil disturbances, exercises, and special events requiring heightened security.
