    South Dakota Army National Guard Spc. Shaelynn Puckett, assigned to the 1742nd Transportation Company, carries water cans for the Combat Fitness Test during the state’s Best Warrior Competition on Camp Rapid, Rapid City, S.D., Sept. 11, 2026. The competition tests Soldiers’ technical proficiency, physical endurance, leadership and resilience through events including military boards, weapons qualification, land navigation, a 12-mile ruck march, obstacle courses, water survival and other warrior tasks.
