    U.S. Army Col. Jason P. Henderson presents roses to his mother, Karen Henderson, during his promotion ceremony at the Illinois Military Academy in Springfield, Illinois, Sept. 11, 2026. Henderson presented flowers to his wife, Joy, his mother, Karen, and his mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Vokac, in appreciation for their support throughout his life and military career.
