Contractors prepare the site for permanent utility connections supporting new classrooms at Northern Marianas College in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Sept. 10, 2026. The work is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ ongoing effort to construct new, storm-resilient classrooms at NMC following damage caused by Super Typhoon Bavi. Permanent utility infrastructure is a key component of preparing the new facilities for occupancy and long-term use by students and faculty.
