    Naval Ordnance Test Unit

    Air Force Master Sgt. Jeniffer Turner, from 5th Space Launch Squadron at Cape Canaveral SFS, About 50 or so people from round Cape Canaveral Space Force Station showed up this morning outside the Naval Ordnance Test Unit MWR Greenhouse for a Remembrance 5k. The run was set up in remembrance of the lives lost during the terror attacks 25 years ago on Sept. 11 at the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and Stoneycreek Township in Pennsylvania. In first place for both the men’s and women’s divisions, respectively, was one of NOTU engineers Trey Langley with a time of 21.40 minutes and Air Force Master Sgt. Jeniffer Turner, from 5th Space Launch Squadron at Cape Canaveral SFS, with runtime of 36.07. Second and third place for the men was Petty Officer 1st Class Austin Ritson, and electronics technician at NOTU, and Petty Officer 1st Class Payton Procunier, a missile technical assigned to NOTU. Second place in the women’s division was Yasmine Redmond, a civilian employee with the 5th SLS.
    The next run sponsored by the NOTU MWR is the navy Birthday Run scheduled to Oct. 15.
