U.S. Navy Construction Electrician Constructionman Stratton Bartlett, assigned to Amphibious Construction Battalion (ACB) 1, cuts a structural steel frame as part of a Pacific Partnership 2026 (PP26) engineering project for renovations at Telipok Health Clinic in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Sept. 9, 2026. On site, service members from the U.S. Navy, Malaysian Armed Forces, British Royal Navy, and Republic of Korea Navy are working together in measuring, welding, sawing, and grinding to build structural components for a 15-by-6-meter shade structure that will provide a covered waiting area for patients at the clinic, improving existing infrastructure and enhancing the quality of care. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
