Congressman Steven Palazzo congratulated Pfc. James B. Jones, a veteran of the famous 761st Tank Battalion, following the award ceremony at the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum, June 15, at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center. Jones was a tank gunner assigned to Company D, and participated in heavy fighting as the 761st pushed forward into Europe during 1944-45.
